Walking in the streets of Paris, marveling at the architecture and monuments that were everywhere, I watched this charming little boy as he became a living part of a massive sculpture, appropriately named “La Jeunesse” in the Jardins Du Trocadero. On a beautiful beach on the island of San Cristobal in the Galapagos Archipelago, among a hundred or more sea lions, I watched these three come out of the ocean and make their way to this resting spot near where I was sitting. I was captivated by how peaceful and accepting they were of my presence as they made themselves comfortable and settled down for a nap.

Of the two pieces of mine that were accepted into the Sidney Fine Art Show 2014, "Joy" and "Bliss", I am very happy to announce that "Joy" has won the top prize for Best Photograph/Digital Media in the Show. The Awards were presented on Thursday evening at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. I will be posting both images on the website on Monday. I will be present at the event on Saturday, Oct 18, from 5-9pm, doing a demonstration of how I work, then staying for the "Meet The Artists" evening. The show continues until Sunday, Oct 19.
